Marriage Devotional Online: God is Not in the Business of Failing

When you and your spouse agree to entrust God with your marriage, it will succeed. Choosing to depend on God to preserve your marriage is a wise decision. Jeff Kemp in an article that he wrote on the Family Life website believes as I do. He and I both believe that God can restore any marriage as long as the husband and wife will submit themselves to Him so that He can make the necessary changes in them.

Do you believe that God can restore and maintain the security of your marriage? I surely hope that you do. In an article that I wrote, I talked about how God restored hope to my marriage at a time when me and my wife decided to trust Him with our marriage. God is not in the business of failing. You can certainly depend on Him to do what His Word says that He will do.

Consider the following scriptures –

Isaiah 55:11 “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (NASB)

Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,” (NASB)

Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” (ESV)
