When husbands and wives do not place unrealistic expectations on each other, Greatness will happen in their marriage.

Consider the following passages of scripture and brief application that will help move your marriage to greatness as you apply this principle in your marriage

Philippians 2:3 (ESV) – Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

Philippians 4:8 (ESV) –¬†Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

A Brief Application

Have you been placing unrealistic expectations on your spouse?

Do you realize that your spouse may not be capable of doing what you are expecting them to do?

It is very unfair to expect your spouse to be able to do something that you have seen your father, mother, or other people do in their relationships or life.

Your marriage is your marriage and your spouse is your spouse, so take your eyes off others and put your eyes on Jesus who is able to transform you and your spouse into the person that the both of you were meant to be.

Move Your Marriage to Greatness with intentional actions that are kind, loving, and respectful.
