When you love your wife and do not become bitter with her, Great things will happen in your marriage.

Consider the following scripture –

Colossians 3:19 (ESV) – Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.

Proverbs 27:15 (ESV) – A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike;

A Brief Application

This can be quite the task especially if your wife from time to time fall into the category of the quarrelsome wife who is mentioned in the book of Proverbs at least six times. You know that you have a quarrelsome wife if from time to time you have to leave your house or go to another part of the house to escape the presence of your normally lovely wife who is telling you a thing or two about yourself in a very combative manner. You have to ask yourself, how can I love my wife and not be bitter with her when this is what I get from her more often then I’d like. The best way for this to work is through prayer, confronting the behavior in a loving manner, and if that fails seek help from someone who has experience with helping couples work through conflict resolution.

Move Your Marriage to Greatness with intentional actions that are kind, loving, and respectful.
