Are You Honoring the Fidelity of Your Marriage?

Consider the following passages of scripture that will help move you to pursue greatness in your marriage:

Hebrews 13:4 (ESV) – “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

Galatians 5:16 (ESV) – “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

1 Corinthians 7:5 (ESV) – “Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.”

A Brief Application

Every now and then as husbands and wives we find that someone of the opposite sex will capture our attention. This is normal! A solution would be to never speak to anyone of the opposite sex, which isn’t practical. What we can do is make up our minds beforehand as to what we are going to do when this happens, so that when it does, we don’t do the wrong thing and defile our witness and most importantly our marriage.
